All stories must be no more than 5,000 words and have a holiday theme and contain a "Deadly Incident". 

 NO ENTRY FEE.  You may submit more than one story, but please send each one separately.

      First Place: $100.00
Second Place:    $50.00
  Third Place:    $25.00

Profits from the sale of the anthology will be donated to:

Habitat for Humanity and the American Red Cross

Contest Rules:
Not open to employees or family members of Deadly Ink.

Entries may not be more than 5,000 words in length, must  have a holiday theme, and include a "Deadly Incident" (murder, mayhem) that needs to be solved.

Entries must be original work of the entrant and may not have been previously published.


Entries must be postmarked between  June 1, 2009 and August 15, 2009.

Your name should appear on the title page only. All other pages should be numbered and list the title only.

In addition, winning entries and selected non-winning entries will be published in the 2010 Deadly Ink Anthology, which will be available for sale at the 2010 conference. Profits from the sale of the anthology will be donated to:
